The next provocation topic is..................

The first provocation topic looked at London's waste management system and whether it is robust enough for the social, economic and environnmental needs of London in the twenty first century.

Our second topic reviewed the capacity of London's governance to develop and sustain a modern system of not just waste management but of resource management - from the amount and category of resource imported and used by London to the efficiency of how it is used and what happens to it afterwards.

Our third debate looked at London's key sector - the City - to consider what a sustainable future might look like. Our authors, along with many commentators, saw much that needs changing if the financial sector is to be empowered to contribute successfully to a future for London.

Our fourth topic was a sustainable future London and young people. The young are consumerist yet surveys show that young Londoners have a high concern for the environment.

Our fifth topic is sustainability and everyday life.
