Allan Barton
Allan Barton has worked at a senior level in the waste management industry for 18 years. He has a proven record in developing and operating waste management businesses, as well as facilitating large construction projects. He joined Arup in Jan 2007. Before this Allan was MD of Shanks East London and was responsible for successfully delivering the development phase of one of the UK's largest PFI integrated municipal waste management contracts. Before joining the waste industry, Alan worked in the Fine Chemical and Petro-Chem sectors.
Doug Benjafield
Doug Benjafield has been a director of London Remade since its inception. He is Chair of London Waste Action, Vice-Chair of the London Recycling Fund and trustee of a number of environmental bodies which are also registered charities. Doug has over 30 years' experience in the waste management and recycling industry in the UK and Europe and was a director of Cleanaway Ltd. from 1980 where his responsibilities included business development and recycling operations.
Andy Bond
Andy Bond is a highly respected member of the recycling community with 20 years experience in the recycling industry. In his current role as Managing Director at ECT Recycling, the leading social enterprise in the waste sector, Andy has helped the organisation secure numerous awards for its innovative and successful recycling schemes.
Peter Johnson
Peter Johnson has a strong background in the waste management sector including Director of Corporate Development for Cory Environmental. He is currently Director of Parkside Environmental consultancy.
Sylvie Pierce
Sylvie Pierce, Managing Director of property developers Capital & Provident Regeneration, works to regenerate inner-city regions in partnership with local communities and using excellence in design. Formerly Chief Executive of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Reading Council, Sylvie is experienced on issues of community-based regeneration in inner city communities. In her spare time, Sylvie enjoys hiking and going to the opera.
Colin Roberts
Colin Roberts (Chair) has over 20 years experience in sustainable economic development and regeneration. Instrumental in the founding of London Remade, Colin currently leads London Waste Action and has held numerous senior positions in the public sector including CEO of the London Borough of Greenwich.
Kevin Whittle
Kevin Whittle is Policy Director for the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation established by the Government to lead the Regeneration of the East London area of the Thames Gateway. Previous roles include Head of Regeneration for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and advisor to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
