Overseeing the high profile £5.4 million Recycle Western Riverside campaign and managing delivery of our London waste reduction and recycling support service, Dee is developing our new business area. Creating new commercial opportunities to help grow the business, Dee is an influential networker with vast industry experience.

Ellen Struthers
Programme Manager
With four years experience in the waste industry Ellen targets local authorities, businesses and other organisations to reduce waste and increase recycling. Ellen currently manages the London waste reduction and recycling support service and has experience of working on wide range of projects including the high profile Recycle Western Riverside Campaign and delivering consultancy support for WRAP‘s Rotate programme. With many local authorities now implementing effective kerbside collection services a significant proportion of Ellen’s work has focussed on estates. This has included managing several estates inventories, preparing reports advising authorities on the provision of recycling services to estates and assisting partners to implement new recycling schemes - including on-site composting of food waste and chute recycling schemes.

David Pietropaoli
Senior Project Manager
David manages a range of waste management and recycling technical support projects and offers extensive experience in the waste management field gained in both London and Rome.

Majken Moller
Senior Project Manager
Majken develops and implements waste minimisation programmes for council offices located in the four constituent Western Riverside Waste Authority boroughs. This includes liaising with contractors and council staff to facilitate and promote recycling, waste minimisation and green procurement within council departments and producing supporting communication material.

Andy Marsh
Senior Project Manager
Andy joined us in June 2004 and manages the waste minimisation component of Recycle Western Riverside, working with the four Western Riverside boroughs to encourage council staff to recycle and reduce waste. This is a two year project as part of the broader Recycle Western Riverside campaign.

Beth Simpson

Stephen Walters

Hannah Sills
Project Manager
Hannah joined us in August 2004 and works on both local authority and consultancy projects, including research into best practice and monitoring. Hannah also manages the waste website www.capitalwastefacts.com which we run in partnership with the Greater London Authority.

Sarah Jones
Project Manager
Sarah offers technical support to London boroughs, advising on waste strategy. She also targets London businesses to provide advice on resource efficiency and implementing office recycling schemes. With four years experience in the recycling and waste management industry Sarah has worked across the public and private sectors.

Hara Xirou
Project Manager
Hara joined London Remade in November 2005 and has liaised with a variety of different stakeholders including operational and director level staff in private businesses, council's and elected members. She has experience and knowledge in developing and implementing recycling schemes both in the public and private sectors. Her experience includes researching, developing and delivering recycling projects for new and existing recyclers and providing recommendations on legislation and the national waste and recycling situation. Hara also targets London businesses to provide advice on resource efficiency and identifies methods to implement office recycling schemes, waste minimisation and green purchasing.

Vivienne Thomson
Recycle Western Riverside Waste Minimisation Officer

With experience in project and event management, Vivienne is working with the London boroughs to reduce their waste. She develops and implements waste minimisation programmes for council offices located in two of the Western Riverside Waste Authority boroughs. Liaising with contractors and council staff, Vivienne promotes recycling to council employees and produces communications materials for the different offices. She also runs a Real Nappy Campaign for the London Borough of Lewisham, designed to promote reusable cloth nappies to residents in the borough as part of the Real Nappies for London initiative coordinated by the Women's Environmental Network.

Support officers
We have a seven strong team of enthusiastic recent graduates who provide extra resources to deliver our projects. The support officers are predominately field based. Examples include: monitoring residents participation in recycling and organic collection schemes; undertaking face to face waste management related surveys with residents and businesses; conducting on-site visual assessments of blocks of flats to recommend the most suitable recycling solutions; assisting in the monitoring of recycling contracts for local authorities and general market research.
